AN ELEGY. On the death of Miss Sukey Heffernan, who was
unfortunately drowned on a party of pleasure, July 13th,
1782. (with six others) by a friend of the deceased.
I.

Seems interested in the dire event.
Hence springs the sorrows that o'rewhelm my breast,
At Sukey's fate, whose death we all lament.
